Fishing information
Without any doubt, March through July are the best fishing months of the year to catch blue marlin, white marlin and sailfish along with mahi-mahi (dorado), wahoo, tuna, kingfish, king mackerel, spanish mackerel, amberjack, rainbow runner, bonito, yellow tail, grouper, snapper, shark, barracuda, etc. Although, the billfish are only present from March through July, all the other fish species are present throughout the year.
Deep sea fly fishing
We can arrange your deep sea fly fishing trip on request. All fly fisherman must bring their own deep sea fly fishing gear and tackle (fly rods, fly reels, teasers, flies, etc.) as there are no tackle shops in Cozumel, Cancun or nearby.
Cruise ship anglers welcome
Aquarius offers special trips to accommodate cruise ship anglers. We welcome anglers staying in Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa Del Carmen, Akumal, Xel-Ha and Tulum in the Riviera Maya. The ferry service to Cozumel starts from Playa Del Carmen at 6:45 A.M. The last ferry to Playa Del Carmen leaves Cozumel at 9:00P.M. Everyday including Sundays.
